The shortest day of the year...finally. The winter solstice occurs today marking the shortest day of the year. Approximately 7 hours and 40 minutes. It is black dark right now at 5:14!!! First day of winter, when the sun is at it's lowest point in the sky. I am very much looking forward to the lengthening days.
Canada Post is finally back up and going after their strike. Business was pretty quiet durning that time. I sent a few packages out using Fed Ex but it really wasn't feasible. I am happy to see things get back to normal although the time frame for delivery is going to be extended for a few weeks yet or longer.
Some of the suncatchers and birds I have been working on. Adding lots of butterflies for spring. The Xmas Nativity is so pretty on a window ledge. Here is the panel complete that I posted the pattern from the previous blog. It turned out well. I will post a photo once they install it in the cabinet. That's Mallory looking into my workshop window asking for me to let her in lol. She loves the tops of the snowpiles. King of the castle.
I have been playing around with Apple's new app called Playground. Wow, it is amazing. These are pictures of 3 of my grandchildren, Addy, Sawyer and Frankie. I can hardly believe how close to their actual pictures these look. ( I had better get the other 2 kids done lol) Using AI you can basically tell it what you want to see and it does it. I asked it to make an African Gray parrot wearing a Santa hat and this is what it came up with.....
Using a picture of my parrot Kiwi. So if you are into this fun stuff you will need IOS 18 or more and Iphone 16. I don't think 15 works but am not sure. It is good for a laugh every now and then and who doesn't need laughter.
May your holidays be merry and bright. May your heart and home be filled with all the joys of the holiday season.
Cheers....
