Summer roundup

And spring.... Too many fun things to do instead of posting updates ol. My shoulder took a long time to heal. Dr Google said 3 to 6 months and that is pretty much right on. Heres a few pictures of the last little while. I am really loving the orchids on stones. There are some great stones here on the shores of the lake that are full of purple garnets and quartz.

In May I was busy getting product ready to take to Fort St John to the Farmhouse on Main and at the same time I was asked to display my work in a new gallery at Waskesui Lake that the Prince Albert - On the Avenue Gallery was opening up for the summer season. Needless to say a lot of product was built this spring/summer regardless of how my arm felt. Some really fun new suncatchers too.

I spent a great couple of weeks in FSJ with Ashley and family. Big news I am gonna be a grama for the 6th time....pretty sure this is the last one. Each kid will have 2 girls and a boy. Ashley is due in January. We picked rocks and driftwood, played in the sand, made rockgardens at Ashley and Danny's Moberly Lake property, camped, boated and sunned. Willaston Lake is still my all time favourite rock hounding place. I am heading back there in October and am hoping the snow has not arrived and we can do one more day there. The kids are homeschooled and I am getting a geology lesson plan together to teach them that I am pretty excited about. Thats Cooper with the beautiful eyes!

Here are a couple shots of the art gallery in Waskesui. Keethanow Gallery on their main street.

Every summer my sisternlaw Ana Maria and I do an art project. She is an amazing painter/artist. This year we did seashell mosaics. I have a mountain of seashells from Florida, Mexico, Australia, Cuba and South America. I made some smaller ones afterwards for Etsy and my website. They were really fun but time consuming. The wine helped us alot. lol

The gardens have not got the love they usually get this summer but some of the flowers look pretty good. The hops and virginia creeper vines are going crazy.

I have been scouring the shores here for driftwood and rocks on nice hot calm days. Been pretty happy with the selection of rocks I have picked.

Happy Labour Day all. Enjoy the last dog days of summer.

Talk soon.
